Currently... November

It's November, a month to be Thankful! What a wonderful month! Are you having a good first weekend of November? What are you up to right now?

Listening: I love country!! I especially love romantic country songs like "Hey Pretty Girl."

Loving: We don't have a fireplace so I love to light candles when I am home working for the day. Somehow it just makes me feel warmer and cozier!

Thinking: I am avoiding yeast to help keep my sinuses healthy... it's not easy to to do because I am not a big meat lover. I have no time today to get creative on another recipe for the week, so I am wondering what I will pull together for us!

Wanting: My husband has been working like crazy, and now I have tons to do this weekend. We are definitely needing some us time!!!

Needing: I have an evaluation this Tuesday and need to send my paperwork out tonight. No fun!

Reading: I am always reading our new Lucy Calkins writing curriculum! Much to read for each lesson but my students are growing SO much as writers. It's magical!!!

What are you up to? It's your turn to link up! Head over to Oh, Boy Fourth Grade to check out what other teachers are doing and link up!

  1. I love Yankee Candles! They were just having a great online sale of buy 2 candles, get another 2 for free, WITH free shipping! The Lucy Calkins curriculum is AMAZING for emergent writers! I used that with my third grade class last year and the progress I saw was inspiring.

  2. Writing is my favorite subject to teach... even in Kindergarten! Lucy Calkins is great! I also enjoy reading Regie Routman's work. Good luck with your evaluation this week!

  3. I agree with the "us" time!! With the business of life and school sometimes relationships get put to the side. Hope you find some time to relax with your hubby!

  5. That's exciting that your students are growing so much in writing. That was always my favorite subject to teach. I loved seeing them grow.

Also, I didn't know going without yeast helped with sinuses. I always have sinus issues, so maybe that would help.

    Hope your evaluation goes well.
