This product contains a GAME for students to practice double-digit addition and evaluate whether they make a new ten or a new hundred when they add. I made this game because I teach my students a few different strategies, and they need on-going practice choosing their strategy and adding accurately.
As students are ready to be moved forward, the product contains a math task with 3 double-digit problems and 3 triple-digit problems. The problems are missing digits and students use their place value knowledge to solve for the missing digits! What I love about the tasks are that the students can go deeper in their thinking as they come up with multiple solutions for each problem. I like to laminate the tasks so students can use dry-erase to write on the tasks OR have them put it on their iPad so they can write multiple combinations.
